The Ebbtide Team

The owner of Ebb Tide, Joan Greenwald, purchased her first Newfoundland in 1977 and was hooked from the start. She started showing and breeding Landseer Newfoundlands in 1980 and has earned over 100 titles in obedience, water rescue, draft and agility. In 1999 her dog Dyna became the first Newfoundland to earn the AX (agility excellent) and AXJ (Agility Excellent Jumpers with Weaves) titles.

In 2009, her dog Holley became the first Newfoundland to earn the CPE CS-ATCH title. Holly has since gone on to earn CPE Championships in Jumpers, Wildcard, Standard and Colors.

In 2000, Joan became an AKC Agility judge and in 2001 CKC Agility judge. This has given her an entirely new insight on the sport of agility and a chance to give something back to the sport.

Joan has been teaching dog obedience classes for over 30 years and agility classes for over 15 years. Her students have won numerous titles and Championships in both areas. She is a 1985 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Dog grooming and has been grooming all breeds ever since.
